The Eng Patch?

Right click the icon on your desktop, open file location, then just find the core DBO files and look for where your Eng patch information is.

Maintenance was last night

TW updates usually conflict with the Eng patch. Try removing it, and if that doesn't work then check the TW Version Discussion for solutions.

Crits are broken into two pieces:
Crit rating= the chances of you landing a critical hit.
Crit damage= how much you will do when you land a critical hit.
On TW, CD reduction and crit rating are nerfed as opposed to the HK and KR versions. This means that Swordsman have a harder time doing what we are made to do, KILL EET WIDDA CRITS.

My build completely disregards crits, seeing as how even when you have the critical hit passive skill and Roar maxed you're still unlikely to hit a crit. So I go for the increased damage from Spirited Roar, so that I know 100% of the time I'm going to at least be doing decent damage as opposed to hoping to some being of higher power that I land a crit and knock the dude out.

Crit rating is nerfed, not crit damage. So while if you hit a crit you're going to do damage, I find it better to go with the safe 100% guaranteed damage.

Crit and CD reduction are both nerfed on TW, hence why I avoid them in my builds. I put one point in CD reduction, but imo anything over is a waste regardless of what version it is. There's just not a significant enough jump in the reduction time to justify 5 points that I could use elsewhere.

It's more for being able to deal consistent damage, rather than attempting at a nerfed critical rating.

As far as gear, mine was probably different from most but:
Sword & Gloves-- The highest attack bonuses I could get, whether Str+ or Dmg+
Con on anything I could get it on so I could survive longer

CD reduction earrings/Properties
Then I had multiples of other accessories to counter the different DoTs

I might use Dex now though, since SM get that nifty Dodge passive thanks to the 70 cap
