This program will extract all of DBO's game files, and give them their proper names and file extensions. It works for all versions of the game.

Download: dbocom.com/files/dbo-unpacker/DBO Unpacker.rar

How To Use:
  1. Extract all of the files to your main DBO folder (the one with DBO.exe in it).
  2. Modify the "DBO Unpacker.txt" file to include the files you want to extract or remove the ones you don't want (more info below).
  3. Run the program and wait until it says it has completed. The time it takes to complete depends on how many files you're unpacking. Large files like tex.pak, and obj.pak are could take upwards of 10 minutes to complete.
  4. As it's working, it will extract the files into the "unpacked" folder.
Note: If there's any game files that are encrypted inside of the .pak files (such as .edf files), this program will not decrypt them.

Important information about DBO Unpacker.txt:

I included, by default, some of the pak files I thought were interesting, yet accessible to most people. If you want to add more files, use the ones already there as a guide for how you should enter them. Do not put numbered .pak files into this file (ex: lang0.pak, tex42.pak).

Example:
If you wanted to include the localized lang.pak file, you'd put: "/localize/TAIWAN/pack/lang.pak"
If you wanted to include obj.pak you'd put: "/pack/obj.pak"

If you want to extract the terrain#.pak files, you must first rename "tan.pak" to "terrain.pak".

The program works from the top of the list to the bottom. The files in the "localize" folder are the same as the ones in the "pack" folder (only they've been localized into whatever language of the game you're playing). If you want to extract files from both at the same time, you should put non-localized files first, so that the localized files then overwrite them.

Lol I am lost as to what this does? Does it fix stuff after you want to remove a client-side mod?

It's an unpacker. That means it takes all of the files from within the encrypted files and extracts them to a designated directory. It has nothing to do with adding or removing client sided modifications.

The end result is similar. However, Dragon Unpacker can't extract all of the file types that DBO uses, and it has no clue what the file names are.
