Unfortunately, waiting is the only cure! The launcher is extremely slow updating and you just need to be patient!

The speed of the launcher is limited by your download speed and the server's upload speed, and the distance between the two. The only way to make it go faster is purchase faster internet or move closer to the server, which is halfway across the planet

Otherwise, close out any applications like browsers or utorrent that might be choking your connection and go grab a snack.
