Hey guys.

I have never posted here since I didn't have anything interesting to say or show.

So, as we all know, today, DBO has died. But I don't wanna see my character dying with the server so I started something to solve this. Some months ago, I unpacked the game to gain access to all models and I noticed DBO used a DFF format.

Today I finally made it. I've been able to export this DFF model to OBJ and mount my character.

I'll post new on monday if I have time to work on my model but actually, that's the only thing I've made:

Big thanks to Xentax and the DFF extractor. I got the program here:

Yeah! I suposed you were from DBOcom too.

What do you mean by "create te world". Having a tool like this I can create new maps, yes. I use to do some 3d design in my free time.

I've been working with the extractor all this weekend using 3D Studio. I have made 2 versions of my character (normal and ssj), extracted some dogis and accesories. Today I'll start to try the weapon extraction and I have almost located and separated all textures of the game. The problem I'm having actually is that some DFF cannot be extracted and imported to 3D Studio. I need to give a try with Blender or Maya.

There should be a plugin for Noesis or something like that. I've been trying to open the DFF files since 2 years! They use the same format like some PS3 games and GTA San Andreas.

I modded DBO since it was a beta in Korea, lol. But I have always wanted to pick my character and make some render or... ehem... Play with him in Grand theft auto, for example. Pics for monday or tuesday, sorry. I cannot upload them from here. I'm not at home at the moment.

Did not try anims but It's possible. You just have to pick an unpacked game, extract the anim, change it and repack the game. Anyaway you can swap them using txt.

By the way, as I promised, here is my actual work:

- Actual renders and my character version 1 and 2:

Another render:

And some sticks I ripped:

I have gloves too but only 3 or 4 models. Most of them cannot be extracted (in 3DS at least). Same with dogis. I have only opened Goku's model, some dogis and one scouter.

But most important to me is that the character had 2 bad points. First is that is not rigged (I'm solving this) and the other was a backface cut. I ported the character to GTA San Andreas and the results were these:

Buuuh... Backface cut too in the game. But there's a way to change this bug in 3D Studio. Just click on modifier -> Mesh Editing -> View Normal then click at right side of windows in flip normals turning it ON.

The result will be:

As you see, the rigging is HORRIBLE. I just made it quick to make tests. Good version is coming this week.

And that's all for now.

Thank you!

Very interesting. Would love to see your character placed in a game more suited the art style though. such as dragonquest or any dbz game.

Hmmm, I don't think that's possible. 3d models can be exported to Dissidia 012 for PSP and you need the emulator. But I have never seen model's swap for these games. Fly for Fun is another game that allow mods like this but it takes more than 4 hours to swap (if you are skilled and you already know the process).

I'm still looking for more dogis that can be extracted. NPC Goku works, Yamcha dogi works, same for Pie Pie t-shirt dogi. I tried to export Miira and Time Machine but it's not posible.
