After roughly 3 and a half years of service, the Korean version will be closing its doors on September 26th. This comes after almost four months of no patches of any kind to the game.

The Taiwanese and Hong Kong versions of the game have been going through a similar lack of updates recently, but as of now there's been no indications that either of them will follow in the Korean version's path.

In January of this year, NTL posted an interview saying that they were still hopeful for the future of the game, and were focusing on its release in the Chinese market. The Chinese version was originally scheduled to go into beta in the beginning of 2012, and even had an official teaser site. Unfortunately, that site now seems to have been taken offline.

Update: The person maintaining the Official DBO Hong Kong Facebook page has addressed concerns that the HK version might be next in saying, "您好,香港紅心辣椒代理的是香港版《龍珠Online》,韓國版本與香港紅心辣椒無關,謝謝。" . Roughly translated, this means "no".

Why u cry for HK and TW? They're not from same distributioner, KR is dieing cause of nule playerbase, HK and TW is full with tons of people and most are cashers since its a pay2win game, HK and TW aren't going down, its stupid since so many cashers play on them. KR was meant to go down with such a low playerbase, but its different with HK and TW.
However, wasabii hasn't said anything so please stop crying and makes assumptions.

Look, when the testing ground for all major updates to a game shuts down people are going to instantly assume the same fate will befall anything that has an offshoot of it. It is only human nature to assume the worst of something. It is a big thing and not everyone is gong to think logically about it. People will just have to wait and see, until then is it really fair to call people idiots for slightly overreacting...? Yes in a way it is understandable, but have you never overreacted to something, in your life? I am sure you have and in that instance you could have been deemed an idiot.
