To downsouthcreep. Is there anything like a certain Flash player, ActiveX, DirectX, Java Enviroment or even a specific Internet Explore version that could do anything positive about my laggy game experiences lately?

Also, i think it's worth to mention that everytime i log into Dbo.netmarble site, and as i am pressing Game Start (to open the DBO launcher) -i am always redirected to a site that states that i need to install ActiveX, even though i did it over and over, from the redirected part of the site i got re-directed to. (If you think that can have anything to do with it, i can post you a picture on either of your guys' e-mails)

I also had to repiditly accept around 5-6 components each time i approached the official Netmarble DBO site. Often something about Game Start Launcher install, Netmarble starter installer, Netmarble Auto update installer, K-defense patch program, and yet another one (with a pink digimon-like icon on it) -and lastly something with pure korean texture on it. As it often took ages to ''install'' each time i clicked, i sat it to auto-click it.

I really hope someone can help me out! :-)

@Scrancher
The two things don't interact much, unless DBO was a browser-based game. Sorry for being unable to help
In your case, the better thing to do is to hire a computer technician.

Ah okay, i see. So nothing about that activeX i have to install like everytime i log into Dbo, or the small installs or anything i mentioned could be the case here? (Just so i fully understand :p)

It's no problem pal. I appreciate your time and effort ;)

I have played with that exact same thought, though a big obstacle brakes me from doing it, looking apart from the fairly pricy cost. I have Installed WoW (World of Warcraft) -to yet again verify an important note. My conclusion is, that WoW is running flawlessly, among with every other Internet bases game / browser or whatever i am doing at my PC that involves internet. (I mentioned earlier that i tested the internet settings on around 5 different ones in my city) -all with same result.
Also, about all day today, i couldn't even enter DBO game, due to the ActiveX re-directing site keeps bugging me.

What i also mean, thinking about a pc technician is, that when it is only that exact same game which i am having troubles with, i can't see what he can even do about it, hehe.

Lastly, for this post, i wanted to hear if you think i can somehow have bin transferred to another part of the KR server part, that could cause it? (just something a guildy mentioned, that got me quite worked up)
Thanks again for your answers, and those to come!

A minor (might turn out major) -factor is that almost everytime i log into the Netmarble dbo site, i have to pick the opputunity to install some activeX and Netmarble game launcer apps, which i click the install button on, for then to nothing ever happends. (i believe it started some days before the actual lagging experience started to occur frequently) If that turns out to be the problem indeed, do any of you have any solutions for that? (To manually install them or something similar)

Open the Windows folder, usually something like "C:\Windows\" or "C:\WinNT\" or "C:\Win32\". Then open a folder called "Downloaded Program Files" which has a icon of a folder with an Internet Explorer symbol in it. See if there are any files in there. Every file in that folder is an ActiveX plugin which could probably be running constantly and for things you may never use (or may be used to exploit your PC).

ActiveX is a way, way, way, way, waaaaayyyyy outdated software technology that for the most part is 99% not needed anymore in the world for anything at all. If there are any websites or programs that require you to install ActiveX plugins it would be advisable to question why they would want to install it. Because nothing needs it. I mean NOTHING needs it. Absolutely nothing....

To remove the ActiveX plugins just right-click the files and select delete, Windows will unload and unregister them automatically.

Also your OS is hovering around 500MB overhead. That's a bit much. You want to aim for about 90MB - 120MB, which is more than possible.

Just like the DirectX Diagnostics tool there is a way to save all service info into a text file. Go to Start Menu -> Run -> "services.msc" -> Action -> Export List... (save as comma delimited, that way it can be imported into a spreadsheet)

Alright, that sounds pretty worth knowing ;)
I did as you wrote, and what was in there, was all of the NM (netmarble) -components, i have to install over and over again, everytime i approach the official Netmarble DBO site. It holds: kdefense8, kdefense8.ocx, NMautoUpdateX.dll, NMautoUpdateX, NMstarter26, NMstarter26.dll, NMsystemIDinfo, NMsystemIDinfo.dll, NMtransX, NMtransX.dll and nothing more. (So all which i had to install to even be able to log into DBO for the time being) About them, i have two question besides what you can brief me through. One is, should i just delte them, and the second is, now for the entire day, i haven't been able to even log into DBO site (where the game launcher appear) -and was always re-directed to this site, as seen in the link: http://www.dbocom.com/forum/showthre...ght=activeX%27
I tried some solutions for that, including running my IE 9 in administrator mode, inbstalling both components at the re-directed site, but nothing is changed. Why i say this, is also because it seems that i can't enter DBO because of some ActiveX stuff missing, but i don't have a clue :-s

That was horribly odd. I mean, i haven't anything except the drivers used to run my OS, and the actual DBO game client, launcer etc. installed. Any ideas of what could cause that much of a consume, and a solution i could try? (also, could it indeed affect my online DBO gameplay?)

Again, (can't be said enough) -thanks for everything! I remain a hope of a final solution :-D

Remove the ActiveX components and try reinstalling them (via the webpage). Once again, nothing really needs it so it would be advisable to question NetMarble's intentions with the ActiveX plugin. Wasabii does not utilize any ActiveX components in order to log in and play the game, it is questionable as to why NetMarble does. Try seeing if there is an alternative launcher (such as a binary *.exe file).

Delete the Exported list from your post. Instead post the whole file it as an attachment that way I can import it into a spreadsheet with Excel. It's much easier to sift through that way.

I deleted the ActiveX components now, and will try to enter the webpage soonish, and re-install them using the site :-)

I deleted the exported list from my previous post, but to be perfectly frank, i don't know where / how to insert attachments using this site :-s Also, if i was to attach a file, it would be in Danish, which i doubt you would be able to understand ;)
Any ideas of how to post it to you, in a facionable way, so you can read it proberly, and in english of course?

As a side-note, after i deleted the ActiveX components in the Windows Download Foulder you mentioned, the re-directing page to the link i provided (which was somehow broken it seems) -it remains the same. You can find the actual picture of the ActiveX DBO site i am directed to, if you search this forums threads, typing: help with activex, posted by: GOKUtheher05674

You can PM the export list. Just make sure it's comma delimited, meaning each part is broken or parsed by a comma. (example: "Service Name, Service Description, Auto,Manual,Disable, etc" in that format. All you have to do is select the formatting when exporting the list in the Save File dialog. Screenshot below:

Your problem might be with an IE configuration. Try resetting to defaults by going into the Control Panel -> Internet Options -> then set default options in the following Tabs: Security, Privacy, and Advanced.

Does your game have a binary launcher? Check the folder where you installed DBO and see if there is an *.exe file there for launching the game. You can bypass the launcher by directly opening the DBO.exe (game's engine executable file). You will miss any updates or patches though. I have only the Taiwanese version so I'm not sure if this applies to the Korean version.

Oh snap, now it is really messed up. I did a Run -> services.msc again (but due to i had to change the delimited versions to standard Note text, it opens it like that, with all the text pretty much corrupted :-s ). How to express it back, so when i click Action on the Run -> Services.msc -> (Here?) -it will open like the DxDiag did, so i can try save it on a prober delimited version?

Sounds like it could be part of the problem, for opening the launcher atleast. I will do it now, and report back!

It does, yes, in C: -> Netmarble -> DragonBall Online (folder) -> DBO Launcher, and another just called DBO. I tried clicking both of them, including running as administrator, but nothing happends. I think they are in-accesable in Korean version, but nothing concrete about it. (All of us KR version debatants have to go through the website to launc the game, using that DBO launcher)

When you go to Export List it gives you the option for saving in the Comma delimited format. The screen shot above shows the Save Dialog box and which format to select. Overwrite the export list you made before. When you open it it should look exactly the same as before but with commas automatically inserted where needed.

Is it possible to play your characters on the TW version? It seems like a hassle and a leash the Korean version has on you. You can't open the exe files because they have some mechanism for denying direct access to them. It's really shady. And the ActiveX makes it even shadier because ActiveX plugins are basically applications with system level privileges which no application should ever have, unless the user is informed as to exactly what the application does.

The only Windows non-native system level applications you should have installed on your PC is hardware drivers like the Video and Sound drivers.
